There is a vetting process that every applicant must undergo to ensure the success of the animal/human relationship bond that these animals highly exhibit. Professional trainers that have taught the 1st litter are amazed at the strong bond of all Cara's canines top their humans, even for a GSD. These are a one home only for life type of canine that must be recognized and respected. They are highly eager to please, adapt well to many situations, and learn very quickly. Be careful what you teach them. Before we got Ca'ra we used to have problems with visiting bears even though we had other dogs. since Ca'ra the bears stay away. In fact all the predators now stay away. One of her natural jobs is to protect the flock.... and these beasts do it extremely well. One client has a large swath of property and contains multiple generations of family in the wilds of Alaska where many dangerous predators live. Their beast keeps the predators at bay, protecting the "flock", He will even know when to break up a fight between the kids! These canines portray "formidable" extremely well. The will use intimidation without fear, and be willing to back it up if needed
They are highly eager to please, adapt well to many situations, and learn very quickly. Be careful what you teach them. These dogs love to open doors and learn at an early age. The will learn by mimicking your actions. One client has taught the dog to bring in the groceries from the car to the kitchen, and is the family delivery boy for in the house. The mother will put items in a bag and tell the dog whom to take it to. He also returns the remains of a snack back to mom in the kitchen! Ca'ra would drag our defiant 12-year-old son back to the house when he when he refused to come after being called! Went through a lot of t-shirts that summer! We can help assist in giving the dog the right jobs based upon your lifestyle. It is required that every client provide proper training and attention for the canine's needs throughout their life, but it is essential in the first 9 months of their lives. Our canines begin training before their owner even gets them.
The more gentle dogs make excellent service animals. Ca'ra's bloodline holds a highly prized natural instinct to service you, to take care of you. Ca'ra is trained to "check" a person. If you faint or collapse she will try to get a response from you. If there is no response be careful... a 100+ pound dog performing CPR is a better chance than none! The ability for these animals to learn is outstanding. All the pups have shown this natural instinct and ability. Ca'ra would tell us several minutes in advance of our son having a seizure, as he was prone to when he was younger. Ca'ra would "yipe" a very specific tone, paw at him to sit down or lay down so she could lay on him and lick his face throughout the seizure to comfort him. If he didn't listen Ca'ra would knock him down and lay on him seconds before the seizure happened. She has informed me on a jobsite that something was wrong with a worker several times before I listened. Turned out the worker was diabetic and had not eaten lunch yet. When he tested his blood sugar it was quite high. She knows when you have a bruise before you do! She can sniff out any injury and let you know you have it. One pup at 9 months old was trying to get the owner's attention in a drastic manner. she couldn't figure out what his problem was...... before the heart attack happened. She came out fine, thank goodness. No training was ever used to teach some things....it is inherent of the bloodline. These traits are what the maternal line passes down and makes these canines excellent service animals, with proper training of course, The pups that don't make the best service animals do make excellent working dogs regardless.
